Hope Parish Liverpool is part of the Diocese of Liverpool’s Fit for Mission transformation programme, bringing six local churches together into one vibrant, growing parish. We are creating a new Mission Services (Support Services) team to free up clergy and lay leaders for ministry and mission — and we’re looking for a skilled and motivated Team Lead Admin & Finance to help make it happen.

About the Role

As Team Leader Administration & Finance, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our parish runs smoothly day to day. You’ll:

  • Provide high-quality administrative support to clergy, lay leaders, and parish staff.
  • Create and maintain effective systems and processes for governance, compliance, and communication.
  • Line-manage part-time administrative and finance staff and coordinate volunteers.
  • Support income generation, particularly through grant applications to resource mission i
  • Oversee the use of parish software systems (Microsoft 365, ChurchSuite, My Fund Accounting, Service Register).
  • Help keep our parish buildings and facilities running effectively through bookings and lettings administration.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experienced in administration and supervising staff or volunteers.
  • Confident with IT and cloud-based systems.
  • Able to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • A good communicator who can work flexibly and prioritise well.
  • Committed to the values and mission of the Church of England.

Experience in church, charity, or non-profit administration is desirable, as is familiarity with parish management software and grant administration.

Terms

  • Salary: £26,000 – £28,000 (depending on experience)
  • Contract: Permanent, 35 hours per week
  • Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays + 3 additional days at Christmas
  • Benefits: Nest pension; free on-site parking
  • Start date: 3 November 2025
